Training on Gender violence

AEPADO organized in the period 3-4 December 2011, the 7th training of the JUMIGG program on the topic of “Gender violence”. Were presented & debated issues like:

1. The causes of domestic violence: human dignity, human aggression, aggressive behaviour, violence, aggressiveness vs. violence, the Bible about violence.
2. Violence within the family: verbal and physical aggressiveness, domestic violence, the effects of domestic violence on children
3. Legal provisions related to violence within the family: national legislation, the Criminal Code provisions, the European legislation.
4. Consequences and ways of intervention in domestic violence: the competent institutions with legal duties in this domain (e.g. the police), shelters for victims of domestic abuse, activities undertaken by NGOs and projects on the theme of violence.
